You’re never too old or too young to have your spine checked

Chiropractic care is just as important for the growing nervous system and spine as it is for adults. Any stress on the body - physical, emotional or chemical - may cause change to your child’s biomechanics. Including the effects of retained primitive reflexes, which can result in distortion of postural muscle activation and effect coordination and behaviour. Your chiropractor will check your baby or child’s spine for full range of motion; assess developmental milestones and their primitive and postural reflexes to see if there is anything we can do, or equally you can do at home, to help.

Care is tailored to each baby/child and techniques used are gentle - please call us at Nomad Chiropractic if you would like to discuss anything on Ph 9969 7503. A chat about your concerns will help to determine if an assessment might be necessary; and if chiropractic is the right modality for you and your family.

Please note that with retained primitive reflexes we are not the only practitioners who may be able to help - and we will be the first to tell you if we think a different type of practitioner would suit your needs better. This includes but is not limited to Behavioural Optometrists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Naturopaths, Sound Therapists, Play Therapists, Paediatricians and General Practitioners.

Please see the attached research paper for more information on Retained Primitive Reflexes.
