Helping You Move Freely, Feel Stronger, and Function at Your Best

At Nomad Chiropractic, we know modern adult life demands a lot from your body—whether you’re juggling work, parenting, training at the gym, or simply trying to stay active and pain-free.

Our chiropractic care for adults is grounded in science, focused on function, and tailored to support the way you live. We’re here to help you recover faster, move smarter, and feel more like yourself again—naturally and holistically.

  • We combine modern, evidence-informed techniques with a holistic understanding of how your body functions.

    • Spinal & Extremity Adjustments

Gentle, precise techniques to restore joint motion and reduce nerve irritation. We tailor the intensity and style to suit your needs—whether manual, instrument-assisted, or low-force.

    • Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT)

A gentle, highly integrative method that focuses on the sacrum, pelvis, and cranium. SOT supports nervous system flow, posture, and spinal stability—especially effective for stress, fatigue, and chronic tension.

    • Thompson Drop Technique

Uses a special table to deliver lighter-force adjustments with maximum precision. Great for sensitive clients or those with acute injuries.

    • Craniopathy (Cranial Adjustments)

Gentle release of cranial restrictions to support the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and balance neurological tone. Ideal for TMJ pain, headaches, and stress-related symptoms.

    • Dry Needling

Targeted needle therapy that releases tight or overactive muscles. Effective for chronic pain, sports injuries, trigger points, and improving blood flow to strained tissues.

    • Soft Tissue Therapy

Hands-on muscle work to break up scar tissue, reduce tension, and improve mobility. We use trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and stretching to complement your adjustments.

    • Active Release Technique (ART)

Movement-based treatment that targets specific muscle adhesions. Highly effective for repetitive strain injuries (like shoulder impingement or carpal tunnel) and sports-related issues.

    • Rehabilitation & Movement Retraining

You’ll receive customised rehab exercises to improve core strength, joint stability, and movement efficiency. Whether you’re recovering from injury or training for performance, we’ll guide you with functional exercises that support long-term results.

    • Lifestyle, Ergonomics & Stress Advice

We don’t stop at the adjustment table. You’ll get real-life strategies to support your posture, movement habits, sleep setup, work ergonomics, and stress regulation.

  • Whether you’re managing chronic stress, recovering from injury, or trying to stay active into your 30s, 40s, and beyond—chiropractic care can help with:

    Lower Back Pain

The number one reason adults visit a chiropractor, back pain is often due to prolonged sitting, repetitive strain, poor lifting mechanics, or postural imbalances. We restore spinal movement and reduce pressure on nerves to relieve pain and prevent it from coming back.

    Neck Pain & Tech Neck

Whether it’s from Postural stress, especially from screen time and prolonged desk work; an injury like whiplash; muscle strain; cervical joint dysfunction; degenerative conditions, neck pain and tension can be debilitating and even lead to TMJ?TMD and headaches. Chiropractic care releases tension, restores neck mobility, and supports better posture—so you can feel more upright, mobile and pain free.

    Headaches & Migraines

Chronic headaches are often linked to muscle tension, joint dysfunction, and upper cervical misalignments. Adjustments to the neck and cranial bones, combined with stress management strategies, can significantly reduce the frequency and intensity of your headaches.

    Shoulder Pain & Dyskinesia

From desk posture to overhead workouts, shoulder issues often involve both joint and muscular imbalances. We use a full-body approach—spine to scapula—to restore stability, release adhesions, and retrain functional movement. We also care for the multi-factoral “frozen shoulder” adhesive capsulitis with a holistic and collaborative full body approach.

    Knee Pain

Pain in the knees often relates to poor alignment in the hips, ankles, or feet unless yo’ve fallennonto your knee or are suffering from the likes of handmaiden’s knee. Chiropractic assessment helps uncover the root cause, while adjustments, muscle release, and rehab exercises restore comfort and function.

    Sports Injuries & Performance

Whether you’re training for a marathon, playing weekend sport, or just want to stay strong and mobile, chiropractic care supports performance and recovery. We work with athletes of all levels to manage joint strain, correct movement patterns, and reduce injury risk—so you can stay in the game.

    We commonly treat:

    • Muscle strains and ligament sprains

    • Rotator cuff and shoulder impingement

    • Plantar fasciitis and Achilles pain

    • Shin splints and runner’s knee

    • Low back and hip flexor tension

    • Golf/tennis elbow

      Exercise Recovery & Mobility

If you’re struggling with tightness, recurring injuries, or recovery plateaus, chiropractic can help reset your movement patterns. By improving joint motion and releasing muscle restrictions, your training becomes more efficient—and your recovery, faster.

    We support:

    • CrossFit and strength training recovery

    • Yoga and Pilates performance

    • Endurance athletes (runners, cyclists, swimmers)

    • Functional fitness and mobility work

    Scoliosis and Postural Imbalances

Whether you’ve had scoliosis since childhood or developed postural issues from years of desk work, we assess your spinal alignment and muscular support to help you stand taller, move better, and feel more balanced.

    Jaw Pain & TMJ Disorders

Clenching, grinding, and jaw tension often accompany stress or cranial misalignment. We treat TMJ dysfunction through a combination of jaw adjustments, cranial release, and upper neck care to relieve pressure and restore movement.

Stress, Vagus Nerve & Nervous System Regulation

Stress impacts more than your mood—it affects digestion, sleep, hormones, and your immune system. Chiropractic care, especially upper cervical and cranial techniques, helps balance the autonomic nervous system by stimulating the vagus nerve—your body’s natural “rest and digest” pathway.

    Digestive Issues

Spinal tension can cause disafferentation of the nerve signals to and from the gut; and a nervous system in fight flight fright (sympathetic dominance) will be redirecting information to arms and legs and away from digestive organs. This can lead to bloating, constipation, or indigestion. Chiropractic adjustments reduce nervous system interference, which might allow your digestive organs to function more efficiently.

    Immune Function

Your nervous and immune systems are closely linked. Regular chiropractic care helps keep your spine and nerves functioning optimally, supporting your body’s ability to identify and fight off illness or inflammation.

90% of the stimulation of the brain comes from the movement of the spine
— Dr. Roger Sperry, Nobel Prize Winner.

Chiropractic is a natural, scientific health care discipline that focuses on the health and wellbeing of your spine and nervous system.

Basically, your body depends on your nervous system being able to send trillions of messages every second between the brain and the body. When these messages are interrupted, the brain cannot make adequate decisions. This can impact your health at a functional level and the body will begin to compensate, which can lead to adverse symptoms appearing over time. So whilst chiropractic may be used to address symptoms like back and neck pain, sciatica or other nerve pain, headaches, migraine, vertigo, TMJ dysfunction etc; one does not need to actually be in pain to have their spine checked.

Chiropractors ensure that your nervous system is functioning optimally by making adjustments to the spine, skull, pelvis and extremities. Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between the structure and function of your body and embraces the principle that your body is a self-healing, self-regulating organism.

We at Nomad utilise a combination of chiropractic techniques based on the unique individual. The main ones we use though are Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) and Thompson Technique. SOT is named for the relationship between the sacrum (base of the spine) and the occiput (base of the skull); and is the beautiful technique that involves cranial work - which we check on every single client; and can have an amazing impact. A bit about structure and function

The nervous system is made up of the brain and kilometres of nerves that travel throughout the body. The nervous system controls our many bodily functions.

Our spines hold our bodies upright and create anchor points that connect the various fascia supporting our organs and muscle systems.

The pelvis provides foundational support for the human skeleton. It supports the upper body to the skull and assists in transferring our weight to our legs.

The brain and spinal cord are protected inside the skull and spinal column. Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) acts as a circulatory system for the brain and spinal cord. CSF transports nutrients to the cells of the brain and spinal cord and assists in eliminating noxious waste from these cells. One of the functions of the sacrum is to pump CSF from the base of the spine back up the spinal canal to the brain and throughout the nervous system. Correct diaphragmatic breathing assists this vital process.
